height of production, providing consumers with the best of the bunch
when it comes to choice. As the summer swelters on, an abundance of
premium, juicy grapes are now available on shelves right across the
country.
Michael Moore owner and head chef of esteemed Summit Restaurant, said
grapes were the ideal complement to summer activities and meals, and are
the perfect accompaniment for a range of different cheeses. "A
connoisseur will know the perfect cheese platter isn't complete without
grapes. Not only do they draw out the flavours and taste of the cheese,
a grape or two between different cheeses will act as a palate cleanser
to reinvigorate the taste buds," said Michael.
Nutritious white and red grapes in all their tasty varieties are not
only good on the lips but good on the hips too, with a new low GI
certification from Glycemic Index Limited confirming what we've known
all along - these bursts of fruity fun are satisfyingly healthy.
A wide variety of grapes are available now including white Thompson and
Crimson seedless, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. So
grab some grapes today to boost your health and vitality!
Tip: To get great grapes when shopping, choose a bunch which has grapes
firmly attached to the stem, rather than those which may be browning at
the stem and remember fresh grapes are firm and plump, not soft or
wrinkled.
