Eve Ensler, Playwright/Founder of the award-winning play The Vagina Monologues, has selected Peter Buffett song for V-Day celebrations in New Orleans. Peter is the first male to perform at the 10^th V-Day Gala event and he will perform 'Can We Love?', which is the first single from his new album Imaginary Kingdom.

V-Day is a global movement that raises fund and awareness through products of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monolgues to help violence against females. The gala featured celebrity guests Oprah Winfrey, Faith Hill, Common, Eve, Charmaine Neville and Jennifer Hudson.

Free downloads of the track will be offered online. Peter hoped to inspire not only women, but believed that men could also be brought into the movement "to turn some of these monologues into dialogues."

Peter's new album Imaginary Kingdom cements his reputation as a recording artist with something to say, with lyrics that resonate his passion for social change. Sonically, the CD combines elements of soft and progressive rock with a contemporary vocal sound, channeling elements of Beck, Guster, and Matthew Sweet.

Peter introduces the song by saying, "We are here because of the power of one woman's voice. But it's not just because Eve has the courage to speak for others, but because she gives others the courage to speak. I hope that by the end of this song all the men in the room are singing along with me. If men's voices can be brought into this movement, we can begin to turn some of these monologues into dialogues."
